Workific's Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Workific / Diversity Network information site, https://workific.org, its online and physical events, courses and playbooks, downloadable articles, tools, resources and recorded videos (collectively referred to as the “Service”) provided by Workific, which is a trading name of Transition Media Ltd, based in the UK (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Content Disclaimer:

In order to help Workific’s Diversity Network members to learn, develop and work towards greater diversity and inclusion in their organisations, we are committed to sharing useful resources, articles, news, workbooks and other content that we believe will be valuable. 

The Service provides a platform for DEI information, online events, downloadable tools, resources and recorded videos featuring various experts expressing their opinions and perspectives on DEI. These materials feature various experts expressing their opinions and perspectives on issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion. We do not endorse, support, or claim responsibility for the opinions, views, or actions expressed in the content provided by third-party experts. 
The content expressed by individuals as part of the content on this Learning Portal are the opinions of the individuals themselves, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the organisation for which they work. 

Although Workific
 aims to share content of the highest quality, and endeavors to review all materials before sharing with the community, we do not accept liability for any inaccuracy or misleading information contained in any of the resources we share, or any reliance by the member on any such information.

References to any third-party products, services, processes or other information does not constitute or imply endorsement, sponsorship, recommendation or any affiliation with Workific. We will not have any liability for third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products or services of
third parties. Complaints, concerns, or questions regarding third party products should be directed to the third party itself.

Please be aware that Workific is not a qualification provider, and any ‘certificates of completion’ you achieve through our Learning Portal are intended only for your personal sense of achievement and to help track your ongoing learning. Our courses are created by the community, for the community. While you may wish to call upon activities you have undertaken through Workific as part of your CPD, our courses do not provide a formal qualification.

We reserve the right to modify or remove content or learning modules within Workific’s Learning Portal at any time, and we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies in the content and resources shared.

2. Use of Content:

You may use the content provided through the Service for personal, educational and informational purposes related to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within the Service only. Content accessed through the Service may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared externally without prior written consent from Workific. Any unauthorised use or distribution of content may result in legal action.

3. Originality of Content:

All content provided through the Service is the sole property of Workific. It is original work created by Workific and should not be copied or reproduced without prior written consent. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution of content may result in legal action.

The videos inside the portal, both within courses and within Workific’s video library, have been exclusively recorded by Workific and are held securely inside the portal for ongoing reference access by logged-in Workific / Diversity Network members only.

4. Privacy and Data Sharing:

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to our Privacy Policy, which governs the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. You understand that your name, job title, company, and email address may be shared with event sponsors related to the events you specifically sign up for. These sponsors may produce products or services relevant to you as a registrant. However, you have the right to object to such sharing and can request that your details be withheld by contacting us via email at admin@workific.org.

5. User Conduct:

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom. You further agree not to:

  • Violate any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Share, distribute, or reproduce content accessed through the Service externally without prior written consent from Workific.
  • Transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.

6. Modification and Termination:

We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Service or these Terms at any time, with or without notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or termination of the Service or these Terms.

7. Good Faith and No Offense Clause:

All content provided through the Service is done so in good faith. We acknowledge that opinions and perspectives expressed by third-party experts may differ from your own. No offense should be taken from the expression of these opinions. We strive to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment within the Service. 

8. Disclaimer of Warranties:

The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability:

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Service.

10. Removal of Content:

If you believe that any content provided through the Service violates these Terms or infringes upon your rights, please contact us at admin@workific.org. We will promptly review and, if necessary, remove the content in question.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Community Guidelines

Workific’s Diversity Network comprises professionals around the world who are working in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) or HR, leading businesses, or who have a related interest in driving diversity and inclusion, such as Employee Resource Group members or members of industry associations.

The network is open to individuals of all job titles from businesses of all sizes and sectors, no matter where you are on your DEI journey.

Our aim is to provide an inclusive space for like-minded professionals to connect, share your insights and experiences, share best practice, and discuss important issues relating to DEI.

We have a few rules to ensure that this remains a welcoming and productive community for everyone to benefit from.

Please do:

  • Make regular contributions to discussions, sharing your ideas, knowledge and expertise that may help other members
  • Remain on-topic and focus your contributions around improving diversity and inclusion
  • Feel free to ask questions and seek advice via livechat in our live events and in our LiveMeet networking meetups from your fellow members on D&I challenges you may be having
  • Act in a professional, courteous and respectful manner at all times
  • Respect the privacy of other members and the insights they share on this forum
  • Remember that your posts will display your profile information, including your name and company

Please do not:

  • Be discriminatory or hostile. Any posts of this nature will not be tolerated, and will be removed by an administrator at the earliest opportunity
  • Use this as a forum to sell products or services
  • Share any confidential business or personal information
  • Post copyrighted material

We reserve the right to remove a member from this community at any time if they do not follow these guidelines.
